About Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a Korean Martial Art of Self-Defence. "Tae" means to kick or smash with feet, "Kwon" means fist or to punch and "Do" means art or way.

Taekwondo is a philosophy designed as a complete discipline for the mind and body. By practicing Taekwondo, one will benefit in the following ways:

  • Cardiovascular fitness
  • Flexibility and co-ordination
  • Improved muscle tone
  • Improved confidence, discipline and focus
  • Improved self-control and stress reduction
